It starts out life as a modern fixture for your dining room, complete with mood-lighting for those extra special dinners. Once the family have finished their supper, simply push a button to rotate the bottom side, which features a competition-style poker table, complete with soft felt covering the surface.
Created by designer Lee J. Rowland, the Convertible Dining And Game Table is made from vitreous enamel, a material that behaves just like ceramics and is very difficult to wear out. The slim outer frame, which is held up by the legs, remains in place. Instead, the inner frame has been cut out and fitted with a motor system from Maxon, in order to facilitate the rotating mechanism. It comes with a Collingwood RGB L.E.D strip in the inner edges of the outer frame, which can be programmed to display up to 27 different colors of illuminating light.
The table measures 280 x 1,250 x 750 mm, which should be large enough to make room for dinner, even for an entire family and a couple of guests. It should be good enough to fit in your usual crew for Saturday night poker too, making it an excellent fixture to set down if you don’t have the space to outfit an extra game room.
